So yeah, I can't understand how 13 channels could be taken up unless it's the camera sync thing like you mentioned? Then they go into the two switchers from there and then of course out of the switchers into the switcher controller (if I am understanding right) All the source/destination routing happens there of course which we use for salvoing and stuff. I'll need to go up and look at all the hardware again.īut I assume I am close in my understanding, sources (cameras, propresenter (Mac Studio) going to the Kumo, then chaining off the Kumo to the OTHER Kumo (for the stream). I am actually just a volunteer who normally runs the graphics but I have recently been helping and learning a lot of stuff. It's hard for me to wrap my head around everything but I am slowly learning over time as I question and look at stuff. ProPresenter of course sends diff things to those screens, sending over SDI for 2 of the sources (mentioned above) and we have one NDI. I think that would be all the "sources" if I am not mistaken - but that's only 6 sources.Īs for output screens we have an LED wall and then we have two side screens (That are mirrored so are just one screen basically) and then a confidence monitor. We have those 4 cameras I mentioned, but we also have one more baptistry camera. I do know roughly how many inputs we have. So I am not sure from there what all is going to the actual Carbonite's rear or if there are any open inputs. I know we still have some open channels on the Kumo but I haven't looked at the Ross Black Solos to see if those are all taken up, but that is what I am being told. This is my understanding of how it works. I assum a lot of the outputs from the 32x are directly chained over the the 16x (for sending parts of our live feed to the stream).įrom there all our sources are going from the Kumos to the Ross switchers. We have 2x Kumo one 32x and one 16x, one is for our live production and the other is for the stream. Our cameras are of course also going to the Kumo router. Right now we have 2 SDI outputs from our Mac Studio which are going through thundrebolt > hdmi > decimators and then SDI up to a Kumo router. We use ProPresenter for our lyrics, slides, graphics, etc. I am just now learning all this stuff so I had not taken a look at it very closely, going off what I was told. The router itself is of course on a rack and then the control board is over on the table. We have 2 PTZs and 2 manned cameras in our building.
